BreastScreen Queensland mobile service will be at Maleny Hospital from the 16th of April to the 15th of May, offering free breast screening for women 40 years and over. Woombye Op Shop in Blackall Street are holding a sausage sizzle fundraiser for Thargomindah flood relief, on the 19th and 26th of April, from 8am each day. All monies raised will be delivered directly to the residents of the affected areas out west. Go along and support this effort as we all know every little bit helps.

Caloundra CWA invites you to lunch with a difference on Anzac Day, at 17 Kalinga Street, Caloundra, commencing at midday. On the menu will be Meat Pies, Mushy Peas and Gravy, Tea, Coffee and Juice. Much of the early part of the 1940's Caloundra Branch supported the local community and also the Aust and American defence force personnel who were stationed in this region. The Maleny Players are presenting “Snapshots from Home” which will be shown at the Maleny Playhouse from the 25th of April to the 11th of May. It is a reflection of the experiences of 24 young men and women from the home front during World War 2. The stories are honest, sad, tragic, heartbreaking and often hilariously funny. The next production of Lind Lane Theatre, Nambour, will be “Song of Survival”, the story, of women held captive in the Sumatran jungle during World War Two. It tells of those surviving the brutality and squalor, managing to create a vocal orchestra, raising their spirits over the three and a half years of captivity . The Buderim War Memorial Community Association (BWMCA) is hosting two services to commemorate ANZAC Day at the Buderim Village Park and the Buderim Mountain State School Pine Forest.  5.15am - Dawn Service at Buderim Village Park, Corner Main and Church Streets; 8.30am - the march will start at Buderim Woolworth's Market Place; 9:00am - the main service at Buderim Mountain State School Pine Forest, Main Street followed by morning tea at the Buderim Community Hall. All are welcome.

Beerwah and District RSL Sub Branch is holding a Commemoration for ANZAC Day.  The Dawn Service will start at 4.28am sharp. The March will go from the Coochin Creek Co Op at 8.30am for a 9.30am step off down to the Turner Park Cenotaph for the Main Service, commencing at 10am. There will be a FA 18 Hornet fly past at 10.48am. 

Kawana Waters RSL will be commemorating Anzac Day at the Surf Lifesaving Club, 99 Pacific Blvd. Dawn Service will commence at 5.25am, followed by a Gunfire breakfast at 6.15am – bookings are required. Glasshouse RSL will be commemorating ANZAC Day with the following services: LANDSBOROUGH Dawn Service at 0415 for 0428 start, RSL Park Cenotaph at the railway station in Cribb Street, followed by a gunfire breakfast at the community hall; GLASSHOUSE MOUNTAINS Dawn Service in Settlers Rotary Park, Reed Street at 6am followed by a gunfire breakfast at Glasshouse Country RSL. The march will form up at 10am at Pitt Street car park and head to the community hall for the main service at 10:45am. Caloundra Uniting Church will be holding Messy Church on Saturday the 26th of April from 4.45 to 6.45pm. Join Pastor Steven for songs and lots of fun ways to worship. Take your family and friends and join in the activities, followed by a  delicious dinner provided by the dedicated kitchen staff.

The Caloundra District Indoor Bowls Association is holding a Cent Sale at 55 Burke Street, Golden Beach, on the 26th of April from 10am to midday, to raise funds for the club's national bowls team. Blackall Range Visual Artists invite you to visit their Easter Exhibition at St.Mary’s Hall in Montville from Friday the 28th to Sunday the 30th April from 10am to 4pm daily. Their Feature Wall called ‘Home on The Range’, will be judged by a local artist. All paintings will be for sale and all commissions and donations will go towards the maintenance of the Historic Hall.

Noosa Christian College is holding an Open Evening on Wednesday the 30th of April from 4 to 6.30pm, at 20 Cooroy Belli Creek Road, Cooroy. The College accepts children from Kindergarten to Year 12. The evening will involve meeting the teachers, visiting the classrooms student displays, and year appropriate information sessions.

Rotary Noosa Daybreak's 'Bookfest 2025' is being held from the 2nd to the 4th of May from 9am to 5pm each day at the Noosa Leisure Centre, Wallace Drive, Noosaville. There will be a number of books to purchase at bargain prices.  All proceeds will be dedicated to local projects, focusing on caring for the community, including the homeless on the Sunshine Coast.

St Vincent de Paul Kawana, are holding a two day book and plant fundraising sale, on Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd of May, from 8am to 3pm, at the Kawana Catholic Community Centre, Nanyima Street Buddina. A large range of books, and indoor and garden plants will be available for sale. Proceeds will raise much needed funds to provide assistance for those experiencing hardship.

The Little Red Cottage, 20 Coral Street, Maleny, is hosting “Narratives: Connecting Hearts, Minds and Nature,” an artist book exhibition celebrating storytelling and creative expression. The exhibition will be held from the 2nd to the 11th of May from 10am to 4pm daily. There will be more than 16 book artists, showcasing works challenging the notion of a “book.” Enjoy tactile, immersive art, exploring diverse themes.

Blackall Range Woodcrafters are having an Open Day at the Montville Sports Ground, on the 3rd and 4th of May, from 9am to 3pm on both days. There will be items created by the members, as well as timber slabs, for sale. Demonstrations will be held during the day. Entry is Free, parking is available, and there will be a Coffee Van on site. 

The Annual Sunshine Coast Antique Collectables Show will be held at the Caloundra Indoor Sports Stadium, North Street, on the 3rd and 4th of May from 9am to 5pm Saturday, and 9am to 3pm Sunday. Admission is $10 for Adults and Children under 15 years free.

 Buderim Gardens Retirement Village are holding a Food and Craft Market, on Saturday the 3rd of May, from 9am to midday, and, as always, the emphasis is on goods that are homemade or hand crafted. Yummy home baking, jams and pickles, beautiful plants, handicraft items, local honey, and more. There will be a sausage sizzle, tea and coffee. Exciting raffles will benefit “The SleepBus for the Homeless” project.

Sunshine Coast Cars & Coffee, hosted by The Sir Henry Royce Foundation Showrooms at 52 Lysaght Street, Coolum will be held on Saturday the 3rd of May, from 7 to 10am. The Coolum Rolls-Royce collection will be open, along with a guided tour of rare vehicles and noteable engines. Velvet Country Music Club is hosting an afternoon of great music, provided by talented local walk-up artists, at the Uniting Church Hall, Cnr Queen and Ulm Streets, Caloundra, on Sunday the 4th of May from midday to 4pm. Woombye Happy Days Festival will be held in Hill Street on Sunday the 4th of May from 10am to 5pm. It will be a 1950s/60s themed, community-run event, featuring live music, dance workshops, classic car display, market stalls, a kids' zone, and family fun.  Admission is free but a Gold Coin donation would be appreciated for the entertainment. There will be food trucks, Mr Whippy, milkshakes and a CWA morning tea.

Beau's Place invites you to join them at Alexandra Headland Skate Park on Sunday the 4th of May from 7.30am for a community walk, honouring bereaved Mothers. The walk is suitable for all fitness levels and will proceed along the coastline to Mooloolaba. Wear blue, and connect with others, who understand and support you. This is a free event.

The Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre Mother’s Day Market, will be held on Saturday the 10th of May from 9am to 2pm. The gallery will be filled with a stunning selection of 25 stalls selling unique creations from ceramics, jewellery, art prints and more. The Artisan Store filled with locally made pieces, will also be open. Everyone is welcome to this wonderful market day!

 The May concert of the Maroochy River Country Music Club, will feature a Tribute to The Supremes. For an afternoon of great music, head to the Hall of Fame, Steggalls Road, Yandina on Sunday the 11th of May from midday to 4pm. Cost is $10 which includes tea and coffee. All are welcome.

  You are invited to a fun night of singing, as part of the Shed Choir, at the Coolum Bowls Club, on Monday the 12th of May at 7pm. You don't have to be a good singer as the focus is on the joy of singing. Hosted by the Coolum Men's and Women's Sheds, this will be a fun relaxed way to enjoy a good old singalong.

  The 82nd anniversary of the sinking of the Hospital Ship, Centaur, will be commemorated at the Memorial on the Headland, Kings Beach, Caloundra, on the 14th of May at 11am. The Centaur was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine, and is registered as the single largest loss of military lives within Australian territory, with the death of 268 men and women.

You are invited to join the Family of League's Kick Off Club at the Alexandra Headland Surf Club on Thursday the 15th of May at 5pm.  The Katie Rose Cottage Hospice, Annual Fashion Parade, will be held at the Tewantin Primary School Hall, on Saturday the 17th of May at 2pm. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride will be held in Caloundra on the 18th of May, commencing at 9am. The Ride, is an annual international charity event, celebrating classic styled motorcycles and the dapper gentlefolk that ride them. Through charity partner Movember, they raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. The Kidney Support Network provides a transport service for Kidney patients to and from hospital, for their dialysis treatment. They are currently in urgent need of Volunteer Drivers.  Vehicles are provided, and are accessed from Currimundi and Maroochydore. The Grace Singers Group are looking for a Piano/Keyboard Player or Guitarist, to accompany them on their visits to Nursing Homes. The Aged Care Facilities they visit are in Sippy Downs and Kuluin, on the first and last Monday of each month, from 10 to 11.30am. They have a Keyboard just need a Player! 

The Sunshine Coast Stamp Club meets at the Red Cross Rooms in Price Street Nambour, on the 1st Wednesday of the month, between 1 and 3.30pm. Current members are a diverse group, with interests in stamp collecting and philatelic history. The Club welcomes anyone interested in joining, to attend their club meetings, on a no obligation basis.

If you like playing darts, then Coolum Beach Darts Club is for you! They play at 6pm every Thursday at Coolum Beach Bowls Club. Ladies, beginners and new members all welcome! Their handicap system means beginners have a good chance of beating the best, so don't be shy! Spare darts are available in a fun, friendly atmosphere!

Maroochydore View Club meets at the Maroochy Surf Club on the 4th Friday of each month, at 11.30am for lunch, with a guest speaker, as well as other social activities throughout the month. Their focus is to raise funds for the Smith Family’s scholarship program to assist children with their education. The Club currently supports 13 children. Do you suffer chronic neck pain from a whiplash injury? Queensland University of Technology is conducting research into nerve changes visible in the eye, which may lead to better treatment options. The Caloundra Repair Café will be open on the last Saturday of each month, from 9am to midday, at the Caloundra Community Centre, 58A Queen Street. The Caloundra Evening VIEW Club meet at the Caloundra Power Boat Club, on the second Tuesday of each month, for a dinner meeting at 6.15 for a 6.45pm start. The club offers women of the Sunshine Coast an opportunity to be involved in sponsoring the education of disadvantaged Australian children through the Smith Family charity. Caloundra CWA has been in operation for over 87 years! The members are a group of fun loving women from all ages and walks of life, who meet at 9.30am on the first three Wednesdays’, of the month, at 17 Kalinga Street Caloundra, for craft, cuppa, chat and cards. During the year they also have various activities, including lunches and outings. Everyone is welcome.

Parrots in Paradise at Barrs Road, Glasshouse Mountains, are looking for bird loving volunteers to join their team of aviary attendants. Tasks involved include preparation of fresh fruit, cleaning aviaries and refreshing seed bowls. The parrots enjoy volunteer interaction, and are loveable and amusing. The Noosaville VIEW Club is a warm, welcoming women’s group that meets twice a month on Thursdays. The second Thursday of the month is Friendship Day, where members get together for lunch. On the fourth Thursday the club meets at the Tewantin RSL to discuss the progress of The Smith Family’s twelve Learning for Life students which the Club supports, followed by lunch.
