The Sunshine Coast Model Boat Club is holding an afternoon and twilight Regatta on the lake at the University, on Saturday the 29th of March, from 2 to 6pm. The Regatta will include vintage and modern sailing craft, scale model ships and boats, including tugs, fishing and leisure craft. Everyone is welcome to go along and try their hand at driving some of the boats.

 Australian Vespa Days exhibition and display, will be open to the public at the Nambour Showgrounds, on the 28th of March from 5 to 9pm. There will be over 200 Classic and Modern Vespa Scooters on display as well as raffles and Best in Show voting. The venue is under cover and food and drinks will be available.

 Noosa District State High School is presenting Comedy for a Cause, featuring top comedians from the Sydney and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, on Saturday the 29th of March at 7.30pm. The event will support the school and Events 4 Greater Good, a community-driven initiative dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those in need. The Queensland Wheelchair Rugby League will be hosting the City vs Country Game, at Caloundra Indoor Stadium, on the 29th of March, commencing at 3pm. The game isn’t just about competition, it’s about celebrating community pride, and highlighting the talent and perseverance of the players. It will bring together the best players from urban and regional Queensland, and sets the stage for promoting inclusion, accessibility, and diversity in sport.

The Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre welcomes Autumn with vibrant and colourful new exhibitions. A solo show, Colour Hum, by Sophia Cameron, touring exhibition, ‘Narawi - Waves of the Sea’ from the Birrunga Gallery’, along with a new collection of artists in the Members Gallery. The official opening will be held on Saturday the 29th of March, from 4pm. Everyone is welcome.

Peachester Village Markets, hosted by the QCWA, will be held on Saturday the 29th of March, from 8am to midday at the Peachester Community Hall.    Arts National Sunshine Coast is hosting Marc Allum, from the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, as the first presenter for their 2025 Arts Talk Series, at the University, K1 Lecture Theatre, on the 30th of March at 2pm. He will share insights behind TV’s most watched antiques program, and choose an array of objects to discuss. There will be refreshments, and an opportunity to talk to Marc after the presentation.  The next concert of the Sunshine Coast Choral Society will be held at Stella Maris, 5 Stella Way, Maroochydore on the 30th of March, commencing at 2pm. Join the Sunshine Coast Melanoma March on Sunday the 30th of March, from 7:30am, at Buhk Family Park, Alexandra Headland. The event will bring together melanoma patients, their families and the local community, to raise awareness about melanoma and funds for lifesaving research. There will be facepainting, a barbeque and raffle prizes to win. Go along and support this very worthwhile cause.

The Mons and Forest Glen Progress Association is holding its’ Annual General Meeting at the Play Matters Centre, Mons School Road, Buderim on the 30th of March at 2pm. Go along and be informed about local issues, and if you have concerns, learn who to address them to.

 The Sunshine Statesmen Barbershop Chorus is conducting a free 5 week singing workshop for men of all ages, commencing on Wednesday the 2nd of April at 6pm The venue is Buderim Uniting Church Hall, Gloucester Road. Do you like guinea pigs? The Sunshine Coast Cavy Club is holding a Guinea Pig show at the Woombye School of Arts Hall, on Sunday the 6th of April, from 10am to 2pm. There will also be a guinea pig nail trimming service, merchandise for sale, guinea pigs for adoption and information on care.

 Join the team at Katie Rose Op Shop, 54 Aerodrome Road, Maroochydore on the 10th of April, from 5 til 7pm, for a VIP night. There will be Champagne, a Fashion Show, lovely nibbles and 50 percent discount on clothing. They are thrilled to have the support of Andrew Peace Wines for the welcome bubbles.  Cost is $10. The Caloundra Orchid Society is holding its Autumn Show on the 11th and 12th of April, at the Uniting Church Hall, Cnr Queen & Ulm Sts. Caloundra, commencing at 9am. There will be a fantastic display of orchids from societies across  the Sunshine Coast. As well as plants for sale, there will be refreshments, re-potting supplies, raffles, and plenty of advice on how to grow these amazing plants.

Destash market will be held at the Yandina Historic House, Pioneer Road, Yandina, on the 12th of April from 9.30am to 12.30pm. This is a market of art and craft supplies, not finished products. If possible cash is preferred.

  Tiny Mountains is holding a free 3 hour “Tiny Film” workshop, at the Lawson Shed in Pomona on the 12th of April, commencing at 11am. The workshop will address how to visually tell a story of an important event from your, or a family/friend's life. It will teach you how to create a Tiny film for the “Tales from the Tiny Mountains” event later in the year. For more information visit tinymountains.com.au

The Golden Beach/Caloundra Handmade Market will be held at the Indoor Bowling Association, 55 Burke Street, on Saturday the 12th of April from 8am to 1pm. A variety of stallholders with a selection of different products will be available along with food and coffee. Stalls are both outdoor & indoor and there is plenty of parking.

Cinema on the Rooftop will return to the Cooroy Library, 9 Maple Street, on Saturday the 12th of April with ‘Paddington in Peru’, commencing at 6.15pm. Take along a blanket and a picnic to enjoy a movie together under the stars. Admission is by donation, and bookings are not required. This will be a great family event!

 The Sunshine Coast Concert Band will be at the Kawana Community Hall on Saturday the 12th of April from 2 to 5pm for a delightful afternoon of Songs from the Sofa. An eclectic mix of well-known songs and ensemble pieces, including a wartime sing-along to warm you up for Anzac Day. Tickets are $25, teens are $10, kids are free. Afternoon tea is included. 

 The next concert of the Maroochy River Country Music Club will feature a Tribute to the Beatles. The Coolum Art Collective is once again exhibiting their art this Easter 9am to 5pm from Friday April 18th to 20th, and on Monday 21st, 9am to 3.00pm at the Coolum Civic Centre. This popular event will feature a diverse range of art and crafts by some of the Sunshine Coast local artists, and artisans. Entry is free with the opportunity to purchase art works and various items from the artisans on display. The official opening will be by Rosanna Natoli on Saturday 19th at 3.00pm.

The April concert of the Sunshine Coast Jazz Club will be held on Sunday the 20th of April at the Caloundra Power Boat from 1 to 3.30pm. Featured act will be group of talented musicians Slip& Flamin Whippersnappers who will provide an afternoon of fun and mayhem.  Book early to avoid disappointment.  The Maleny Players are presenting “Snapshots from Home” which will be shown at the Maleny Playhouse from the 25th of April to the 11th of May. It is a reflection of the experiences of 24 young men and women from the home front during World War 2. The stories are honest, sad, tragic, heartbreaking and often hilariously funny.  The next production of Lind Lane Theatre, Nambour, will be “Song of Survival”, the story, of women held captive in the Sumatran jungle during World War Two. It tells of those surviving the brutality and squalor, managing to create a vocal orchestra, raising their spirits over the three and a half years of captivity . Blackall Range Visual Artists invite you to visit their Easter Exhibition at St.Mary’s Hall in Montville from Friday the 28th to Sunday the 30th April from 10am to 4pm daily. Their Feature Wall called ‘Home on The Range’, will be judged by a local artist. All paintings will be for sale and all commissions and donations will go towards the maintenance of the Historic Hall.

The Kidney Support Network provides a transport service for Kidney patients to and from hospital, for their dialysis treatment. They are currently in urgent need of Volunteer Drivers.  Vehicles are provided, and are accessed from Currimundi and Maroochydore. The Grace Singers Group are looking for a Piano/Keyboard Player or Guitarist, to accompany them on their visits to Nursing Homes. The Aged Care Facilities they visit are in Sippy Downs and Kuluin, on the first and last Monday of each month, from 10 to 11.30am. They have a Keyboard just need a Player! 

The Sunshine Coast Stamp Club meets at the Red Cross Rooms in Price Street Nambour, on the 1st Wednesday of the month, between 1 and 3.30pm. Current members are a diverse group, with interests in stamp collecting and philatelic history. The Club welcomes anyone interested in joining, to attend their club meetings, on a no obligation basis.

 The 'Coolum Rolls-Royce Museum' is open on the first Saturday of the month from 7 to 10am, at 52 Lysaght Street, Coolum. There are 33 Rolls-Royce, Bentley and other vintage vehicles on display including the famous Silver Ghost, the second oldest Rolls Royce in Australia. Enjoy a guided tour of rare motor vehicles and seven Rolls-Royce engines, including a famous Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. Admission is by donation of only $10 per person, kids free.

 If you like playing darts, then Coolum Beach Darts Club is for you! They play at 6pm every Thursday at Coolum Beach Bowls Club. Ladies, beginners and new members all welcome! Their handicap system means beginners have a good chance of beating the best, so don't be shy! Spare darts are available in a fun, friendly atmosphere!

  Maroochydore View Club meets at the Maroochy Surf Club on the 4th Friday of each month, at 11.30am for lunch, with a guest speaker, as well as other social activities throughout the month. Their focus is to raise funds for the Smith Family’s scholarship program to assist children with their education. The Club currently supports 13 children. Kawana Waters View Club’s primary interest is raising funds for the Smith Family's Learning for Life students. They welcome women of all ages to join them on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Kawana Waters Surf Club for a friendly lunch.     The Caloundra Repair Café will be open on the last Saturday of each month, from 9am to midday, at the Caloundra Community Centre, 58A Queen Street. Take along small household items such as electronic, small electrical, wood, ceramic, glass, toys and clothes, for hand or machine stitching. Project SEARCH offers a 12-month unpaid internship program at Buderim Private and St Stephen’s, Hervey Bay Hospitals, for ages 17 to 28 with an NDIS plan.  The Caloundra Evening VIEW Club meet at the Caloundra Power Boat Club, on the second Tuesday of each month, for a dinner meeting at 6.15 for a 6.45pm start. The club offers women of the Sunshine Coast an opportunity to be involved in sponsoring the education of disadvantaged Australian children through the Smith Family charity.    Caloundra CWA has been in operation for over 87 years! The members are a group of fun loving women from all ages and walks of life, who meet at 9.30am on the first three Wednesdays’, of the month, at 17 Kalinga Street Caloundra, for craft, cuppa, chat and cards. During the year they also have various activities, including lunches and outings. Everyone is welcome.

Parrots in Paradise at Barrs Road, Glasshouse Mountains, are looking for bird loving volunteers to join their team of aviary attendants. Tasks involved include preparation of fresh fruit, cleaning aviaries and refreshing seed bowls. The parrots enjoy volunteer interaction, and are loveable and amusing. The Noosaville VIEW Club is a warm, welcoming women’s group that meets twice a month on Thursdays. The second Thursday of the month is Friendship Day, where members get together for lunch. On the fourth Thursday the club meets at the Tewantin RSL to discuss the progress of The Smith Family’s twelve Learning for Life students which the Club supports, followed by lunch.
